Reggaelution!

All the way from Jamaica, Reggae is now the new world wide rocksteady genre of music .It's evolution came fresh, starting the early 60's , the rhythmic shiftting from the known rocksteady into the hips moving reggae music, it was first introduced by Jackie Mitto, for those who aren't familiar with him, he is one of the respected keyboardist, a talented music director, and The "songwritter" , a former member of The Skatalites & music director of Studio One Record Label. 




Back to the main thesis, the massive transmition form rocksteady into reggae was quit similar to the ska and rocksteady one, it was an impreceptible process defining the reflection of the changing social conditions of the society. Where rocksteady had the legacy of singing sex and romance songs of Jackie Opel and Lord creator, reggae let emphasis on Africa & Redemption.





Reaggae is associated above all with the one and only Bob Marley, may his soul rest in peace, he had established himself as an early leader if that kind of music, as well as a reliable influence, all of that linked to his clothing style, and gestures, and unique stage presence, the one known as Roots Reggae. He injected his music with that typical use of words and sounds, which made it worldwide and recognized.  On february the 6th, he was gently rewarded for his works as a star on the famed Hollywood walk of Fame, and gained more reward in the years after.



Which leads us now to the extended types of Reggae music, narrowed into :

If we dig a bit more in this moving culture, we can clearly notice that not all reggae stars come for Jamaica, it was massively seen in England, Scandinivia, Germany, and even Japan. Nor do all reggae artist tend to transmit messages throughout their music, but some of them perform it for the amusement of the general audience, no social commentary included. West indian reggae music actually preceded reggae but cannot quit be found at most reggae festivals.. .
