Safar, The Imed Alibi Project.

From the impeccable sounds of the Mediterranean, the cadence of percussion in all it's dresses! The African, Western, Electronic, as well as Indian !

This melting pot of cultures is amazingly mesmerizing.

The Imed Alibi Project is the authentic definition of beauty wihtin music ,the thrilling and charming vibes that make your soul wander within the beathing path of their beats ...

They come from different corners embracing dissimilarities of cultures and thoughts, from Europe (France), Africa (Tunisia), South America ( Brazil ), and the Middle East (Iraq).

Imed Alibi just released his first album "Safar" at IRL, England Records with the collaboration of Justin Adams, the guitarist of Robert Plant & the Sensational space shifters.

The name "Safar", which means Journey in Arabic is adequate to the history of the project. It was originally a project of percussion only, with Imed Alibi and the Brazilian Zé Luis Nasciemento. The musicians then decided to add melodies, which led to the inclusion of Zied Zouari and his violin, and Pascal Teillet and his bass. Once gathered, they decided to welcome the electronic effects keyboard Stephane Puech. A pure melting pot based on Berber rhythms and Sufis.

Their compositions is undoubtedly different and has its special touch, the combination of the Middle East's traditional cadency within the electronic one is extremely rare. Thus, this amount of supremacy in their composition is a cradle of creativity, a derivation of talent and a pellucid of originality.

Believe it or not, we witness in their music the madness of rock n' roll, the lyrical cry of the blues, the introspection of India’s gurus, the ecstatic trances of the Sufis an the tenderness of the swaying samba and meringué.

While listening to their compositions, you feel your self initiated to the sense of freedom and lightly perceiving a rasp of pleasure and joy, their music is nonetheless, an exhaustive meditation on the meaning of our life.
